My business project focuses on providing a platform that aims to promote multicultural and multiracial integration through its live entertainment events across South Africa. Our core focus lies on all the elements of Hip Hop and R & B,rock music bands, local poets, local comedians, local magicians, local art, local fashion and other local performing arts. The emphasis is to facilitate a sustainable market for the unlimited pool of African talent by establishing this platform as a business entity that uses the latest in technology and promotes Africa whilst still sustaining a growing income.
The Playground is an all out live entertainment business with pool tables, soccer tables, arcade games, dance floors, stage area and bars that boasts a drug free environment and will leave people coming back for more! The diverse support of the various events at The Playground leads to a huge advertising opportunity to other businesses wishing to market to a minimum of 5000 people a month and that makes The Playground benefit from an ongoing advertising revenue income as well.

My strengths are my ability to identify positive business leads, think out of the box and be dedicated to my business project. I see the bigger picture on the horizon and I work passionately to reach that horizon.

My team will consist of all my staff, leaders of South African Music and myself working together to always produce the best results for the business.
What is the state of the market?
The South African entertainment industry is a huge untapped market. It is fused with the tourism industry.There is always a need for entertainment whether one is a local or tourist but very few businesses have tried to capture this market. Music does not see age, race, gender as boundaries therefore making a vast and diverse market place.FIFA Socer World Cup 2010 will see tourists arriving in South Africa needing a place to socialize with locals and enjoy South Afican talent!

There is no competition to The Playground project because it is a project that pioneers a new era of business in an untapped market.

What are your short and long term goals?
Our short-term goal is to have a permanent place where artists perform every week and are given a chance to find support from their local peers whilst at the same time creating jobs and giving back to communities. Our long-term goal is to develop an advanced entertainment industry and a international brand that will help artists and the people of Africa support themselves and sustain a living off their music as well as products made in Africa under the Blazing Ice brand name that promotes Africa to the rest of the world.
